Jack Greiner

Jack Greiner was hired by American in 1942 at the age of 21. In 1944 he instructed as captain in American's school for Navy pilots checking out in R4D3's (Navy DC3's) in Ft. Worth.

Jack first flew Flagship Detroit as co-pilot in 1945 and several times thereafter as co-pilot and captain through 1947.

A bout with polio brought an end to Jack's career with American in 1953.

Jack is pictured here after re-uniting with Flagship Detroit and flying her from Cheyenne,Wyoming to Longmont Colorado, his home.
