The history and heritage of American Airlines is entwined with the history and the heritage of the Douglas DC-3. The Flagship Detroit Foundation greatly appreciates the contributions by so many AA employees in our quest to preserve this airplane. One way in which we can attempt to repay the employee group is with a special visit of the Detroit and her crew to many of the American Airlines stations. In 2006, MIA, ORD and BNA were the first stations to host an Employee Recognition day with the Flagship Detroit. In 2008 we plan to visit more AA stations.
